Notes from the dark side

I would like to sum up last week’s GH with the following commentary, exactly as recorded while watching:

- shut up Sonny

- yay for an Aunt Ruby mention.  Bonus for Lucky making such mention while wearing a black wife-beater

- please keep truth-talking Olivia, I think I love you

- I definitely love Maxie, the best wedding planner ever

- yay for the girls pointedly recognising Mac as their main parent throughout the time they were growing up

- shut up people talking about Sonny

- “With all due respect Coleman: Memorial Wing.”

- “Please don’t say things like that to me again, I still have a bad heart.”

- Coleman is the best/worst Best Man ever.  Robin agrees:

- But then again they killed off all the friends and potential friends Patrick had (Stan), or gave them personality transplants (Leo), so it kind of makes sense

- SHUT UP Sonny

- Jerry is a scum bastard

- I was kind of hoping the Russian mob stand off would turn into that episode of Get Smart where they all shoot each other

- Nice ongoing historical references, including to Alexis’s murdering, insanity-faking past, etc, etc

- Edward’s jaunty cap!  I am concerned he’s wearing sweaters though.  And I’m not even thinking about the Speedo

- Carly might be being Carly, but she appears to have mutated some kind of self-awareness gene that never previously existed.  I know it won't last

- Nice opening look of derangement there Lulu:

- “All I’m saying is the last time Jackal PI got involved, you lost your spleen!”

- “I don’t want to have any more agonising conversations about what we can’t have.”  Thank the lord

- Loved Nikolas’s WTF? look when Carly told Jax her visit to Wyndemere was personal:

- Is Jax really reduced to this?

- Couldn’t someone, preferably Jason, just clock Sonny one?

- Jeez, Patrick and Robin are sweet with their doll be-headings and whatnot

- Jeez, something is so going to go wrong with that wedding/birth

- Could they have found a smaller bikini for Sam?

- Oh dear, poor Alexis

- No, no: really, really shut up Sonny

Seriously, WHY do they have Jason let Sonny order him around at this point? "Get over here now". Screw you, dickhole, you're nobody, I'm busy, goodbye! HATE.

I will never, ever stop advocating for a Jason/Sonny murder/suicide. It is my dream scenario for GH. I hate, despise, loathe, etc. both of them. I will not ever choose one over the other. BOTH OF THEM NEED TO GO! Oh, and bonus points if Lulu and Carly get caught in the crossfire and die as well.

Robin & Patrick are beyond sweet. They reduce me to fangirl stupidity at times. Please don't let Jason be the one to save the day during the birth. Of course something is going to go horribly wrong with the wedding and/or birth. This is GH. That means lives will be in danger. It will be sweeps. That means disaster is inevitable. I hate this show during its "down" time, during sweeps the only difference is the special effects. Zippety-flipping-do-dah.

I haven't watched this show since before last Christmas. I started catching bits and parts of the show recently.

I love Olivia. Gosh, let's hope Guza gets fired before her truthy truth-saying ways are snuffed out and she is begging to have another child by mini-mobster, and telling her son what a wonderful man his real father is. *rolls eyes painfully*

(I have this fantasy that Sonny dies and Olivia brings her cute son, who happens to be a young FBI agent and partnered with Jagger, and they come and take over Port Charles. Maxie joins their forces of good against evil and dumps Spin.)

I always liked Coleman and its great he's now a best man and buds with someone on the show - and his bud is not a mobster - WOW. He'll probably be killed.

There are few things good about this show. I can't watch most of it. This is because, as you wrote, it has become ALL SONNY, ALL THE TIME. How can they keep this up? I find my stomach churns violently after about five minutes of watching him, or hearing about him.

I loved Sam and Lucky. I don't know what's going on with them - nor have I really seen them.

I love Robin and Patrick. I didn't see much of them either.

Nikolas and Jax have been relegated to comic foils who have to stand around and find new ways for WTF faces.

Loony Lulu is horrible (nothing good about this storyline). Scotty will be ruined by taking Laura away as soon as she wakes up. Scotty and Laura are brought back, but they have obviously been body snatched, and are no longer who they once were.

You should make a list of all the characters who have been destroyed and had personality overhauls. Of course, it would be easier to make a list of all the characters (one?) who have not been destroyed.

I like how Lulu's mental state changes from day to day, just like her hair style. On days when she's feeling hopeless and loony: straight hair. When she's been told that someone's gaslighting her: loose and wavy.
